Platform Sharing 

Using the same structural framing for various product models is advantageous. Platform sharing, a strategy employed by the automobile industry since the 1960s, facilitates the design and construction of various products with optimal time and cost efficiency. In this instance, the identical structural frame or chassis has been utilized to develop two distinct models: a dump trailer and a flatbed trailer. The platform frame of the flatbed trailer has been replaced with that of the dump trailer.
